Make sure you have enough street team support; if it is a whole day event of 10,000 people or more do not rely on 1-2 people, they will be tired by the middle of the day; instead try to hire 3-4 people for events of 10,000 or more and 5-6 for really big events (50,000+)
Always hire an event manager, a person that will control your street team, booth activities, coordinate/communicate with the organizers and makes sure you are getting what you paid for.
Remember to staff your booth with knowledgeable people, with the ones that really know a lot about your products and services and are talkative enough to easily pass this knowledge to the crowd; this people will represent your brand at the event and it will be all in their hands now to promote it. It is often recommended that the sponsor holds an informative session for the event representatives regarding the product/service being promoted, this way a knowledgeable promotions team is assured.
Generate traffic to your booth by organizing a lottery with prizes and/or free samples of your product; people will come in big numbers if they find out there is something in it for them.
Use your stage presence to announce yourself to the crowd drawing prizes (even something as small as T-Shirts make great giveaways) and organizing a quick quiz show or something similar; remember to ask organizers for permission first.

Soccer is the biggest sport in Brazil and Argentina’s soccer team is their archrival.
The annual Carnaval in Rio is not heavily attended by Brazilians themselves, and most of Brazilians live outside Rio and do not attend the event. Using Rio Carnaval images in an ad targeting Brazilians is insulting. Think of using a photo of the Times Square Naked Cowboy as an image to target Americans.
Brazil is indeed located in South America, but Brazilians speak Portuguese, not Spanish. Brazilians do not call themselves “Hispanic”.
